Overview

Our 18U Premier pitching program is recognized as one of the best collegiate preparation programs and has resulted in 45 pitchers moving onto college in the past 14 years.  Our 18U Premier team program is headed up by Coach C., one of a few coaches in the Pacific Northwest who has been awarded a certification in pitching instruction by the National Pitching Association.

Winter Program

Pitchers start winter workouts in November (after three months off) with position-specific conditioning and throwing mechanic adjustments to improve velocity and reduce injury risk.  Bullpens start in late December and run through our Spring Training session in Arizona.  Pitcher fielding practice begins in January with the rest of the team during our on-field defensive sessions.  The goal is to have our pitchers in mid-season shape before the start of high school baseball in addition to coordinating around college prospect camps.

Standards and Guidelines

Our younger teams have similar winter programs run by college-level pitchers, Base by Pros staff and other highly qualified training partners.  All FCA coaches adhere to the American Sports Medicine Institute guidelines for player/age pitch counts and rest days.  We take arm care and injury prevention very serious at FCA as we continue to prepare our players for high school and collegiate baseball.
