Coach Dan Holmen brings 15 years of experience coaching youth baseball.  Dan has coached teams in Redmond West Little League through their 18U program as well as 8U-11U select teams with the Redmond Rebels Baseball Club.

Dan held several board positions with Redmond West Little League, including President.

Coaching Role Model:

"In no way did I deserve to train under Coach Ken Foreman. Coach to world and national champions, an Olympic gold medal winner, architect of Seattle Pacific athletics and the real Most Interesting Man in the World - was also the coach to me. Tough love, emphasis on both ‘tough’ and ‘love’. He only compared you to the best he knew you could be and celebrated your personal victories. He expected your best effort.

While I trained under Coach Foreman as an athlete, I spent as much time watching him coach others. Sitting at the feet of a great coach not only gave me tremendous insight into physical training but the power of a coach who invests himself in his athletes."

Favorite Part of Coaching:

Watching success come when a young player starts to own their game, through hard work, attention to the details and learning to ask ‘why’ rather than just accept whatever someone tells them about the game.
