Titans finish 3d at the USSSA Combat Tourney
20 of the best 12u teams in the state met up in Kent and Lacey this past weekend for one of the final big tournaments of the season. The Titans swept the pool play round on Saturday, including a shutout over the Rawlings Rebels which they needed to post a 1st place seeding for Sunday. Following a bottom of the 6th walk-off victory in the Quarterfinals, the Titans came up just short in the Semi’s to a very strong Auburn Bulldogs team that has won 11 of 13 tournaments this year. This tournament featured some excellent pitching and some extremely timely hitting … both of which have been a little bit hard to come by in the later weeks of the season.
This was an excellent way to break in some new blood (A.J., Ben, and Jack) and finish the scheduled season strongly.
